Radius Media Agency Announces New Client: Welsh Driver Alex Jones

Radius Media Agency is thrilled to add Welsh racing driver Alex Jones to its client roster. After considerable success in the British & European racing scene, Jones is ready to launch his career in the United States. RMA, an Indianapolis-based full-service agency, will work with Jones to procure sponsors and develop and manage his brand in the U.S.

Jones is looking to compete in Indy Lights series in 2012 and 2013. “We are excited to work with such an ambitious, up and coming driver,” said RMA Founder and CEO Doug Winegardner. “We’re confident in his talents and are eager to move forward with him.”

Jones’ career began with several kart racing championships at club and national levels, winning the prestigious British TKM “O” plate Championship in his second season of racing. Jones made his car racing debut at the end of 2007 in the British Formula Ford Championship, winning two of his first four races. He went on to finish third overall in the Scholarship class in 2008 with six wins, nine fastest laps and thirteen pole positions.

The following year brought continued success in the BFF Championship, with Jones achieving pole, fastest laps, podium positions and winning “North West Sporting Champion for 2009.” In 2010 Jones impressed team owners and peers through his completed tests in British and Italian Formula 3, showcasing his driving ability and technical feedback.

Jones made his Indy Lights debut at Long Beach this past April. He has enlisted RMA’s brand management and public relations services in hopes of securing a full-time position in the IndyCar Series.

“As a young, driven male, Jones will be a great brand ambassador for companies trying to reach that same demographic,” said Winegardner. “We look forward to connecting him to the right sponsors and helping him further his already promising career.”
